Riser | SPIDERBOWS - Hawk - SRF Design - ILF
SPIDERBOWS presents with the new bow line Hawk ILF SRF Design a new series of ILF risers in beautiful designs and a real all-rounder in the field of recurve bows. A year of development work and many test shots were completed to produce a (hunting) bow that is suitable for all archers, whether women, men or youth. For this purpose, the riser is equipped with a more delicate grip that fits perfectly in the hand and immediately gives a pleasant yet binding feeling. Thus, the risers is equally suitable for more delicate and stronger hands. Manufactured from highly stable, stabilized wood in the center and sustainable SRF wood in cocobolo, burl birch, or rosewood designs, the risers is made to last. The sustainability is achieved by using European woods, which not only get their beautiful design through a special treatment, but also gain stability and weight. In the SRF Design variant, the risers are kept heavier, in about 20%, than the regular Hawk risers. The center stripe on stabilized wood takes over here an important feature for stability and torsional stiffness. As a result, the bow shows an even smoother shooting behavior and a plus in precision. Without additional inlays or other materials, a vibration-free riser was created, which convinces with absolute precision. The result is a very quiet shooting behavior.
ILF - Technology meets tradition!
All risers are equipped with the well-known, stable and precise ILF mount from SPIDERBOWS in black, allowing absolute flexibility in the selection of ILF limbs and settings. SPIDERBOWS has rethought the ILF system and developed perhaps the best ILF mount for the limbs available on the market. This is how high-quality, precise technology meets the tradition of a wooden riser.
The ILF receiver with all its adjustment possibilities is housed in a solid metal block and forms a closed system. The lateral adjustment for throwing arm alignment, for example, is completely integrated in the metal block, thus avoiding cracks in the risers that can occur with conventional systems because the screw is located in the wooden riser. In addition, Tiller screws have an additional ring and a movable head that optimally guides and fixes the limbs. Via the tiller, the bow can be optimally adjusted to personal requirements and the draw weight of the bow can be adjusted by approx. ±3 lbs. However, the SPIDERBOWS ILF receiver has a little more to offer: Due to the requirements of the different sets of rules of the various archery associations, the Tiller screw was extended by an internal grub screw, which serves as an additional locking device. This allows the Tiller screw to be locked in the desired position. If you want to avoid adjustment altogether, the Tiller screw can be fixed in the block by means of a lateral compression fitting.
In contrast to the other SPIDERBOWS risers, the ILF receiver on the Hawk has an open design and is therefore more filigree without any wooden side panels.
