Riser | KINETIC Vygo - 25" - ILF
The KINETIC Vygo riser is made of a stable aluminium-magnesium alloy. However, the centrepiece is not die-cast as usual, but is milled from one piece. This provides even more stability and strength.
The 25 inch long riser is available in various eye-catching colours, all of which impress with their silky matt sheen. The colour-matching wooden handle shell rounds off the look and at the same time ensures a pleasant feel when held in the hand. Of course, the KINETIC Vygo has all the standard sockets for the button, arrow rest and stabiliser. In addition, there are adjustment options for the lateral alignment of the limbs and the Tiller.
A special feature of the Vygo, however, are the recesses underneath the grip, into which the matching blank bow weights can be screwed or inserted. The weights are attached to the blank bow to achieve a certain stabilisation when shooting. The weight ensures that the bow does not tilt towards the archer after the shot is released, but remains in a stable, upright position. Unlike the Olympic recurve bow, the centre of gravity of a blank bow is behind the pressure point of the hand, so that these bows tend to tip backwards without the use of additional weights.

The blank bow is a bow class in archery. These are Olympic recurve bows without sights and without stabilisers, which are strictly forbidden in this bow class. Only the attachment of weights is permitted. The rule to be observed is that the decocked blank bow including attached additional weights may still be pushed through a ring with a diameter of 12.2 cm. The weights may not be angled, but must be perpendicular to the bow. No vibration dampers made of rubber or soft plastic may be attached to the weight.
Universal thanks to ILF plug-in system
The limbs are attached to the centrepiece using the International Limb Fitting System (ILF). They are simply plugged into the worm arm receptacles on the centre piece and not screwed in. This innovative, standardised system allows the use of ILF limbs from different manufacturers and does not tie the shooter to one manufacturer or the manufacturer of the centrepiece. Thus, the limbs can be easily and quickly mounted or exchanged for other draw weights or models.

Right-handed or left-handed?
Determination of the draw hand
The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.
Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.
The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.
There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:
- The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
- A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
- The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
- The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.
If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.
