Anyone who knows Christian Vorderegger also knows that one thing matters most to him: maximum performance and precision. He makes no compromises, and so one thing was immediately clear: alongside the classic Essence, Competition and Custom bows, there also had to
Tournament bow without compromise
What makes a good competition bow in Christian's eyes? It needs a convincing geometry and powerful limbs. It needs maximum stability and a smooth shot. And the Falkenholz COMPETITION offers all this. Christian Vorderegger relies here on what is probably the most popular Falkenholz riser, the Peregrine with thumb rest and checkering, in combination with Falkenholz's own ILF high-performance limbs.
To keep the price of this tournament bow affordable, Christian and his team focused only on the shooting properties and performance features. They deliberately avoided decorative lines or limb overlays because, apart from aesthetic aspects, they do not add any value in terms of performance. This is how Falkenholz managed to design a bow that leaves nothing to be desired in terms of shooting performance and workmanship, while offering a first-class price-performance ratio.
The tournament bow put together in this way is the ultimate bow for tournament purists who expect maximum performance, who fully concentrate on the technical characteristics of the bow and who, like the World and European Champion Christian, do not want to compromise.
Form follows function – maximum precision does not exclude aesthetics
The fact that form has to take a back seat to function here does not mean that you have to sacrifice aesthetics. Top performance is also compatible with an appealing look. The COMPETITION impresses with its discreet, unobtrusive design: the one-piece riser is made of original Falkenholz stabilised HD wood. This beautifully brown-black veined stabilising wood impresses visually with its fine grain. But the material was also selected first and foremost with shooting performance in mind. The Falkenholz HD wood is a homogeneous composite material consisting of several layers of wood. These layers are completely impregnated with epoxy resin and result in a riser that is particularly stiff and heavy compared to risers made of Technowood, pure wood or other wood variants. No additional materials or inserts are necessary to create a heavy, vibration-free structure that impresses with its precision. However, you don't have to do without the natural and pleasant feel of Wood.
Key features of a genuine Falkenholz bow
There are two important factors in the riser that, of course, could not be dispensed with: the thumb rest and the checkering. The thumb rest of the Peregrine riser guides the thumb optimally and thus guarantees the same grip of the bow hand every time. The checkering on the palm rest optimises grip. This way, your Falkenholz COMPETITION will always fit perfectly in your hand for maximum precision.
World-class finish
Each Falkenholz riser is personally tested and signed by Christian Vorderegger and includes an arrow rest made of stingray leather.
