Riser | C.V. EDITION by SPIDERBOWS Condor - DUAL - 19-25 inch
With the current model year, SPIDERBOWS has revised its well-known and appreciated top line Condor and added a few fine details. The riser, for example, is made of modern stabilised wood, which has become an indispensable part of archery. This homogeneous composite material is made of several layers of wood, which are completely impregnated with epoxy resin, resulting in a high-strength riser, which is significantly more torsion-resistant and heavier than risers made of Teknowood. Without additional inlays or other materials, this creates a vibration-free riser that impresses with absolute precision. At the same time, the material gives it the natural and pleasant feel of wood.
The individual colour design is another advantage of the innovative stable wood, which allows almost infinite possibilities that would not be possible with classic wood. The colour scheme of the Condor was developed especially for SPIDERBOWS. This makes the Condor absolutely unique in the world of archery. The result is an elegant play of colours consisting of dominant, noble black with accents in grey, brown or red, which give the bow a timeless but modern and extraordinary appearance.
ILF or screw-in limbs? - Or simply both!
With a classic take down bow it is rather difficult to change the limbs for other models, you are usually bound to the respective bow model and its limbs, universal screw limbs and systems are rare on the market. If you want different limbs, you often have to buy a completely new bow.
The situation is similar if an aspiring archer wants to switch from a take-down bow with screw limbs to ILF limbs with their even greater variety of limbs. You have to say goodbye to your "beloved" bow and look for a new one.
What if you could just keep your usual riser and switch between screw and ILF limbs as the mood takes you? - Not possible? You can! With the DUAL system from SPIDERBOWS. The system is as ingenious as it is simple: It is only the throwing arm mounts that decide whether to use a screw-on or a plug-in throwing arm (ILF). And to make this decision as easy as possible, SPIDERBOWS has made the mounts interchangeable. All SPIDERBOWS risers with DUAL system therefore do not have a classic throwing arm mount ex works, but only a mounting option for the respective throwing arm mount, which can be converted or exchanged in just a few steps.
The DUAL mount with all its possibilities is housed in a solid metal block and forms a closed system. The lateral adjustment for throwing arm alignment in the ILF system, for example, is completely integrated in the metal block and thus avoids cracks in the riser, which can occur with the usual systems because the screw is located in the wooden centre piece. In addition, there are tiller screws, which have an additional ring and a movable head that optimally guides and fixes the limbs. Via the tiller, the bow can be optimally adjusted to personal needs and the draw weight of the bow can be adjusted by approx. ±3 lbs.
But the ILF attachment has a little more to offer: Due to the requirements of the different rules and regulations of the various archery associations, the Tiller screw has been extended by an internal threaded pin, which serves as an additional locking device. This allows the Tiller screw to be locked in the desired position.
C.V. Edition - Developed by the World Champion
Two years of hard work have gone into the C.V. Edition, which was developed jointly by SPIDERBOWS and Christian Vorderegger, the world and European champion in the IFAA. It was not easy to meet all his demands and set goals, but with the C.V. Edition, SPIDERBOWS has succeeded in building bows that make no compromises.
Various aspects were particularly important to Christian Vorderegger during the joint development:
-The riser must be extremely torsionally stiff, really heavy and cut across the middle! SPIDERBOWS has managed to create a riser without additional aids such as metal inserts or similar, which is extremely stable due to stabilised wood of the latest generation and heavy enough with at least 1200g. The combination of these factors enables a vibration-free shooting behaviour that not only feels extremely comfortable, but also culminates in absolute precision.
-Thanks to the new asymmetrical geometry of the Condor, the bow window is cut further across the centre. Nevertheless, the bow remains absolutely stable and optimises the arrow flight and the possibilities of arrow tuning.
-Last but not least, provided with a pleasant, ergonomic grip, the riser of the Condor nestles perfectly to the hand and gives a great feeling when shooting.
Finish by the World Champion PERSONALLY
In order to ensure the quality that one associates with the name of a World and European Champion and is also entitled to expect, all bows are personally tested, signed and prepared ready to shoot by Christian Vorderegger after manufacture.
