Limbs | JACKALOPE Competition C55 - ILF
The evolution of the Competition limbs: Competition C55 - A limb as if made of one piece, which will inspire you as an ambitious tournament shooter.
The smooth, vibration-free and fast limbs impress with their extraordinary precision. And this already begins in the manufacturing process: The core structure consists of individual layers of unidirectional carbon and glass, which are pressed into a compact limbs in a highly precise, CNC-milled metal mould under extremely strong pressure and particularly high temperatures. The limb is thus significantly denser than conventionally laminated limbs. From the ILF attachment to the tip of the limb, the lines of the C55 merge absolutely homogeneously and form a perfect unit.
The monolithic, jointless construction and the significant carbon fibre content of 55% are decisive for the flex resistance. On the one hand, the COMPETITION C55 limbs are extremely supple and offer maximum comfort when taking them off and support you when shooting many passes. On the other hand, they help to maintain a clean technique, even after many repetitions.
But every archer is also looking for stability to keep arrow groupings tighter and more consistent. These limbs are characterised by a particularly high torsional stiffness, which makes this stability possible in the first place. The bow remains absolutely still, the arrow accelerates better and leaves the bow cleaner and straighter, which then leads to better groupings and increased precision.
The COMPETITION C55 limbs impress with their exceptional tensile strength and better force distribution. Due to their materials, their performance values remain constant, even with changing temperatures or hygrometric changes. Here they are clearly superior to conventionally laminated limbs. Their higher material density also absorbs any vibrations.
But it is not only the materials and the production method that make this limbs special. The COMPETITION C55 ILF limbs are also exceptional when it comes to geometry: The curves of the recurves at the end of the limbs are more extreme than you are used to from a recurve limbs. These more pronounced curves bring several advantages: While with other, flatter geometries the force to be applied often increases exponentially with increasing draw length, the draw curve here remains just as progressive and smooth as at the beginning of the draw. This means that even longer draw lengths can be pulled absolutely smoothly with the COMPETITION C55. The effect here is about 40% power saving compared to conventional limbs. In addition, the energy stored in the limbs remains high, which means that the limbs gain speed. Faster limbs give the shooter a distinct competitive advantage, especially in adverse weather conditions such as rain and wind drift.
Thanks to the ILF (International Limb Fitting) system, these limbs not only take your Zircon to the next level, they are the perfect combination for all ILF risers on the market. The performance values can compete with some of the best limbs on the market. You will hardly find comparable performance values in this price category. The COMPETITION C55 limbs are available as medium or long limbs with a draw weight from 24 to 50lbs in 2lbs increments. This makes them the perfect choice for a wide range of tournament shooters, from ambitious youngsters to competition veterans.
