Karphos / Stramit round disc
The KARPHOS disc, consisting of replaceable strips, can be used universally and is held together by a strong galvanised metal band. The individual Karphos strips are made of pressed straw, which has an ideal density for archery. Thus the arrow wear is clearly minimized.
Information on durability/weather resistance:
The disc has sufficient endurance for "normal" use. However, they should be protected from drying out, otherwise, the straws will break out too quickly. It is therefore advisable to spray the disc lightly with water from time to time. However, it should be protected from too much moisture. You should, therefore, cover the pane with a film after use to prevent rain from penetrating.
If the centre of the pane bulges backwards due to prolonged use, it can and should simply be turned over.
