Description

JACKALOPE - Red Beryl Hunter - Tournament - 60 inch - 30-50 lbs - Take Down Recurve

The Red Beryl from Jackalope Archery represents the tip of modern bow making, a combination of highly developed technology and traditional craftsmanship. The intricate workmanship of the riser highlights the craftsmanship that goes into each Red Beryl. Every step of the manufacturing process is carried out with the utmost care to ensure the highest quality. experience the fusion of state-of-the-art technology and elegant design that makes the Red Beryl an inimitable companion for demanding archers.

  • Exceptionally quiet and stable
An absolute highlight is the stabilised HD wood used, which is known for its high density and exceptional stability. Compared to the previous Dymondwood, this wood adds more weight, which makes the bow even more stable and quieter when shooting. Every shot will be a real pleasure!
  • More weight – higher precision
The use of heavy wood and the resulting additional weight minimises vibrations. This makes shooting quieter and more controllable. The arrow gets a smoother and more consistent flight path for more precision on target.
  • Innovative design - inimitably colourful
While technical progress is at the forefront, the Hunter variant of the Red Beryl also offers a visually appealing appearance. The natural grain of the HD wood combined with a carefully designed look gives this bow not only functional superiority but also a high-quality character. The centrepiece of the bow is the artfully crafted one-piece centrepiece, which, with its elegant, bold design, is timeless and makes the bow a real eye-catcher. The deep, impressive red and black of the wood also inspired the name of the Jackalope Red Beryl, which is named after the semi-precious stone ‘red beryl’ and is a real eye-catcher. The meaning that has always been attached to this rare stone also fits well with a bow and its shooter: It stands for power and dynamism! So what could be a better name for a bow?

Anyone who chooses this extraordinary bow is not only investing in their archery career, but also in a timeless companion full of elegance and style. Whether for competition or leisure, the Red Beryl meets the demands of experienced archers and sets new standards in performance and design.

And the best part is that you get a full 30-year warranty* on this high-quality bow! This shows you how much Jackalope believes in its quality.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.
