Description

HOYT Altus 35 - 40-70 lbs - Compound bow

Altus gives target and 3D shooters an all-around, performance-driven tournament bow. With a 35 inches or 38 inches option, the Altus is able to fit draw lengths of 23-31 inches. The all-new HBT Cam System makes this bow extremely adjustable - helping archers achieve the perfect setup to put them on top of the podium.

Your introduction to the podium.
Loaded with Hoyt technologies that put shooters on top of the podium, Altus series are high-performance tournament bows offered at a fraction of the price of typical tournament bows. And with more adjustability than ever thanks to the all-new HBT cam, Altus can be dialed to 1/4” draw length positions, set at 65, 70 or 75% let-off, and a choice of a hard or soft wall to achieve the fit and feel where you shoot your best.

The pinnacle of performance and adjustability.
The all new HBT cam system represents the biggest change to Hoyt target cams in over two decades. The HBT cam features quarter-inch draw length adjustments; adjustable let-off between 65, 70 and 75% and the ability to change between a soft or hard wall feel - all within one cam system. HBT cams will deliver the speed, feel and personalization required to fit any shooting style.

Enhanced riser design.
Machined from aircraft-grade aluminum with tunnels near the top and bottom pockets for increased stiffness and stability, increasing accuracy and giving shooters a more steady hold at full draw.

Competition performance grip.
A more narrow and comfortable grip reduces hand torque and promotes consistency and accuracy.

In-Line Integrate rest mounting option.
Integrate arrow rest mounting option allows for the use of streamlined, modern rest systems along with traditional, berger-hole mounted arrow rests capable of dual mounting screws.

Right-handed or left-handed?

Determination of the draw hand

The draw hand is the hand that pulls the string. This means that a right-handed bow is held in the left hand and drawn with the right hand.

Determining your personal draw hand has far less to do with whether you are left-handed or right-handed than you might initially assume. It is much more about determining the dominant eye. The dominant eye is used for aiming. This then automatically results in the draw hand.

The term dominant eye refers to the eye whose visual information is superimposed on everything. If a shooter tried to aim with the other eye, he would have to close the dominant eye.

There are two ways of determining the dominant eye: On the one hand, it is the eye that is generally favoured, for example when looking through the viewfinder of a camera, through the peephole or similar situations. On the other hand, there is a small exercise that can be used to determine the dominant eye beyond doubt:

  • The arms are stretched out and a triangle is formed with the thumbs and index fingers of both hands.
  • A small target is aimed at through the triangle, for example a socket or a cupboard knob. Focus on this object.
  • The hands are now slowly brought towards the face without taking the target object out of focus.
  • The triangle of thumb and index fingers will involuntarily tend towards one side of the face and this is where the dominant eye is located.

If the dominance of the eye and hand do not match, the bow should still be selected according to eye dominance. The arms can be easily retrained for the new draw hand, but not the eye.

Notes on delivery time

Please note the following information on the stated and actual delivery time:

You are purchasing an item that we do not have in stock ourselves, but order from a wholesaler for you. As a rule, it will be with us in approx. 5-7 working days and can then be dispatched to you immediately. For this reason, a maximum delivery time of 8-9 working days is displayed in the order form.

However, our shop system cannot display the stock levels of wholesalers and suppliers. Even the wholesaler cannot always have every variation in stock. It may therefore be the case that the item has to be ordered directly from the manufacturer (Asia, America). In this case, the delivery time can be extended to up to 12 weeks. In special cases, the item will be made for you and may have an even longer waiting time.

After finalising your order and checking the availability of your items, you will receive information from us with a more precise delivery time. If possible, we will also offer you alternatives that can be delivered more quickly.

Thank you for your understanding.
