A blank shot is probably the most dangerous thing you can do to a crossbow. Usually one shot is enough to damage the crossbow so badly that it can no longer be used. But what do you do if the crossbow is stretched but you don't want to fire another shot - so the string has to be stretched?
One solution to this problem is the new BARNETT Thump 1 bolt, which allows you to relax the crossbow with a single shot. Simply insert the Thump 1 bolt, aim the crossbow at the ground (no hard floors!) and shoot. The unique brake system of the bolt prevents a deep penetration into the ground and absorbs the acting forces.
The bolt is reusable and fits into any quiver.
